Gummy Bear Dress Debuts In Twelv Magazine (Photo)

Gummy Bear Dress (Twelv)
A gummy bear dress debuted in the pages of Tvelv magazine, a new publication based in New York.

The dress is made out of 50,000 gummy bears and weighs a hefty 100kg (220lbs).

Designed by the magazine's editor-in-chief, Hissa Igarashi, and fashion editor, Sayuri Marakumi, the gummy bear gown is inspired by an Alexander McQueen Chevron rainbow dress.

How exactly was the gummy bear dress made?

A steel wire was twisted into the shape of a dress and covered with a sheet of vinyl. Each gummy bear was then glued on by hand in a colorful pattern.

It reportedly took three weeks to finish this elaborate gown and three fitters were required to help the model wear the rainbow dress and move around during the shoot, which lasted for 5 hours.

What do you think? Would you wear Tvelv's gummy bear dress?
