David Cook Writes Excuse Letter For Student

American Idol winner David Cook wrote an excuse letter for a fan who had to miss school just to meet him at an event at Edsa Shangri-la Hotel in Manila last Friday, a day before the singer's concert in Smart Araneta Coliseum.

On a stationery bearing the hotel's logo, "The Time of My Life" singer wrote, "Dear Sir, Please excuse (the fan's name) from class for the day of July 13, 2012. She had to meet me. Her words. Not mine" and signed his name.
