'Life Of Pi' Trailer: Ang Lee Brings Bestselling Novel To Life

'Life Of Pi' Trailer Debuts

The first teaser trailer for Ang Lee's adaptation of Yann Martel's bestselling novel "Life of Pi" has been released on Wednesday.

The trailer shows breathtaking scenes from the movie, which follows the story of a young man who survives a tragic disaster at sea and is hurtled into an epic journey of adventure and discovery.

"Life of Pi" is based on a screenplay by David Magee, who adapted it from the 2001 novel by Yann Martel.It stars newcomer Suraj Sharma, Gerard Depardieu, Irrfan Kahn, Tobey Maguire, among others.

The film is scheduled to be released on November 21, 2012, being positioned by studio Fox as an Oscar contender. It will be screened in both conventional and 3D cinemas.
