Teen Mob Steals Jeans: Flashmob Robbery Caught On Surveillance Video

Teen mob steals jeans
A teen mob was captured on surveillance camera stealing $3,000 worth of designer jeans.

Luke Cho, the owner of Mildblend Supply Co. in Wicker Park, Chicago, posted the video of the teen mob robbery on Youtube hoping to help the police identify the teens who walked into his store on Saturday and stuffed their backpack with jeans before walking out.

The clip shows most of the group flocking to a corner of the store where an expensive brand of jeans called Nudie Jeans is being displayed. The jeans are reportedly sold $200 a pair.

Cho quickly realized something bad is about to happen so he alerted his staff to call 911, he told CBS Chicago. He also locked the door but the teens eventually figured out how to unlock the door themselves.

Cho said he has dealt with a dozen shoplifting incidents since his store opened six months ago, but none as sophisticated as the "flashmob" robbery.

A spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department said the case is being actively investigated.
