Jack in the Box is a adding a waffle sandwich on its breakfast menu.

Jack in the Box has announced its Breakfast Waffle Sandwich, which will be available for a limited time starting July 5.

The waffle sandwich features a fried egg, American cheese and the chain’s new country-grilled sausage stacked between two lightly sweetened maple waffles.

"Jack in the Box is combining three popular breakfast choices – waffles, egg and our new country-grilled sausage – to create a distinctive, craveable sandwich that is easy to eat on the go," said Tracy Dunn, director of menu marketing and promotions for Jack in the Box Inc. "Our new Breakfast Waffle Sandwich is the perfect balance of sweet and savory"

All together, the mini-meal will set you back $2.79 plus tax and $4.19 plus tax for a combo that includes sandwich, hash browns, coffee, soda or orange juice. As with the rest of Jack in the Box breakfast menu, guests can enjoy the Breakfast Waffle Sandwich for breakfast, lunch or dinner or as a late-night snack.

The fast food chain said the new product is not available in the following markets: Indianapolis, Oklahoma City, Kansas City, Sacramento, San Antonio, Baton Rouge and Greenville.

According to nutritional info on the Jack in the Box site, the Jack in the Box waffle sandwich has 479 calories, 33 grams of fat, 11 grams of saturated fat, 1 gram of trans fat, 271 milligrams of cholesterol, 983 milligrams of sodium, 24 grams of carbohydrates, 1 gram of fiber, 6 grams of sugar, and 19 grams of protein.
