Philippine Azkals to face do-or-die game against Tajikistan

Philippine Azkals vs Tajikistan, a do-or-die game
After beating the 2008 champs Indian Blue Tigers, the Philippines Azkals are set to face a must-win match against the Tajikistan team, the Persian Lions, at the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup on Tuesday in Kathmandu, Nepal.

The Azkals have to win the game as they are tied with 3-points with the Tajiks in their Group standings. Whichever team emerges victorious on Tuesday will advance to the semifinals along with Korea, Palestine and Turkmenistan who have all secured their spot in the Final Four.

The crucial game will be aired live on Studio 23.

Philippines' 2-0 win against former champion India was considered "one of the biggest upsets in the history of the AFC Challenge Cup" and showed how far the Philippines has reached in the past couple of years.

It was Phil Younghusband who scored the two goals with the help of the rest of the Azkals. - NoypiStuff
