"RIP Patrick Dempsey" is currently one of the trending topics on the popular microblogging site Twitter, fueling speculations that the "Grey's Anatomy" star is dead.
It is 100% false according to entertainment sites in the U.S.
Dempsey, who is know for his role as Dr. McDreamy in "Grey's Anatomy," is alive and well.
The rumor reportedly started from a hacked account which tweeted that Dempsey died in a car accident.
Again, the actor is just the latest victim of death hoax on Twitter, putting him in the company of celebrities like Justin Bieber, Jackie Chan, Jon Bon Jovi, David Guetta, Lady Gaga, and Cher who were all subjects of RIP rumors.
