Teresita Sy-Coson on the cover of Forbes Asia, among 'Asia's Power Businesswomen'

SM Investment Corp. Vice Chairman Teresita Sy-Coson is gracing the cover of Forbes Asia for its March 2012 issue as the magazine launched its inaugural list of "Asia's 50 Power Businesswomen."

Sy-Coson, 61, is the only Filipina in the list.

"Daughter of Henry Sy, she helps head up one of the biggest family-owned conglomerates in the Philippines," Forbes wrote. "She is also chair of Banco de Oro Unibank, the nation's largest bank."

According to Forbes Woman President Moira Forbes, the list "celebrates the dynamic ways in which Asia’s businesswomen are driving some of the region’s most exciting growth. Through their respective realms of power and influence, these honorees span diverse industries, nations and generations, yeteach has changed the face of Asian business, while creating opportunities for future leaders."
