Ben himself announced Jennifer's delivery via his Facebook account.
"We are happy to announce on February 27, Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy, Samuel Garner Affleck," Ben wrote.
The Hollywood powerful couple also have daughters Violet, 6, and Seraphina, 3. They announced expecting their third child in August last year.
After dating for more than a year, Ben and Jennifer, both 39 years old, tied the knot at a private ceremony in Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean in June 2005.
Ben was briefly engaged to singer Jennifer Lopez after dating between 2002 and 2004. Jennifer Garner, meanwhile, was previously married to actor Scott Foley, who she met on the set of "Felicity" in 1998.
