Avril Lavigne engaged to Chad Kroeger!

Their six-month relationship played out largely under the radar, but now Nickelback's frontman Chad Kroeger and Avril Lavigne want to shout it from the rooftops: they are getting married!

The Canadian rockers met in February, when Chad and Avril first got together to write a song for her upcoming studio album. Chad, 37, and Avril, 27, fell hard, because on August 8th, Chad presented the Canadian songstress with a 14-carat diamond ring.

This will be the first marriage for Chad. Avril was previously married to Sum 31's Deryck Whibley, they divorced in 2009.

UPDATE: People Magazine has gotten their hands on a photo of Avril and Chad together. The photo also gives plenty of opportunity to admire Avril's 14-carat, pear-shaped engagement ring!

Couple alert! Once Upon A Time must be a fertile breeding ground for relationships. Ginnifer Goodwin and Josh Dallas (Mary Margaret Blanchard/Snow White and David Nolan/Prince Charming) announced they were coupled up in April, and now Jennifer Morrison and Sebastian Stan (Emma Swan and Jefferson/Mad Hatter) have taken their relationship public as well.

A source tells People Magazine, "They met on set and are now exclusive. They started dating three months ago. They seem to be really happy together, but are trying to take things slow." Both lovebirds aren't new to dating a co-star. Sebastian, 28, dated Leighton Meester when starring on Gossip Girl and Jennifer, 33, was engaged to her House M.D. co-star Jesse Spencer.

Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm (Mel C) and her long-term partner, Thomas Starr, are no longer together. The singer, 38, and her ex-boyfriend, 45, met in Barbados in 2002 and were together from that point on. After 10-years of togetherness Mel C's rep confirms the split. The former couple lived together in their north London home, with 3-year old daughter Scarlet.

A few weeks ago Mel C said in Good Housekeeping, "I'd like my house to be run with military precision, but unfortunately someone else lives there, a man! So he scuppers that. We're probably a good combination, though, because he's very spontaneous and I like to be organised."

After a relationship of three years Edgar Davids and Olcay Gulsen have split. According to a rep the break up is due to both their busy and conflicting schedules, causing the former couple to not be able to spend enough time together.

Fashion designer and owner of fashion brand Supertrash Olcay, 31, and former international football/soccer player Edgar, 39, met in 2009 during a night out in Amsterdam. The couple were officially together since July 2009. In August 2010 the couple got engaged. However, those plans were put on hold in and the couple split up for a couple of months, when rumours broke that Edgar had had an affair. Later in 2011 the couple got back together and the engagement was back on. In March 2012 Olcay told the Dutch Grazia that she hoped to be a mom. In her ideal world she'd have "sort of a nomad child, that travels with me." She fantasized of Edgar being a full-time dad. Last month word got out that their relationship was hitting a rough patch, Olcay then said, "A marriage is not in the cards. We're absolutely not planning anything."

Where did it go wrong? Inside Tony and Mandy's break up

Tony Wyczynski, aka Sterretje, was convinced of his choice in the TV dating show In Love With Sterretje. After weeks of hilarious (tip: don't wear a tube top when horse back riding or you'll put your boobs on display like Stephanie did) and crazy (an angry Daisy will "drink your blood like it's tomatojuice") TV, Tony picked Mandy. It was obvious from day one that Tony would pick Mandy, but now it's all over. The relationship between the Oh, Oh Cherso reality star and the lingerie model is over.

Mandy tells Dutch newspaper AD that she blames the makers of the TV show for the break up, (translated) "When we came back from Gran Canaria on April 1st, we were head over heels, but we weren't allowed to see each other until the final show on June 4th, otherwise our relationship might come out already." Parting for two months was a blow to the relationship, "We'd sometimes meet in secret, but immediately we grew apart. It's not the best start of a relationship!"

The 21-year old doesn't regret taking part in the show, "I had a great time [...] I still get butterflies in my stomach when I see or talk to Tony. It's not me." Mandy doesn't exclude contacting Tony in a couple of weeks, to see where they both stand, "Who knows, we might get back together." However, Roxy Paay, related to Dutch Diva Patricia Paay, claims that she and Tony are in a relationship, so 'patching things up' could be completely out of the question. Still, Mandy says, "I take Tony's word that none of that is true."

Zach Galifianakis to wed!

Zach Galifianakis has gotten down on one knee and proposed to his longtime love Quinn Lundberg. The couple are to wed on August 11th, according to Celebuzz, who obtained a copy of the wedding invite.

A source told Celebuzz, "While it has the formal and standard details of who, what, when, where - including Zach's full name, Zachary Knight Galifianakis, and his fiancée's, Mary Quinn Lundberg - it is also very funny. Zach included a drawing of himself and his bride-to-be. He made sure he looked like a little troll, while Quinn is a stunning blonde princess."

It is not disclosed when the Hangover star, 42, and his fiancée, who is a vice president and co-founder of Growing Voices (a charity dedicated to supporting community-based projects and organizations that encourage development and reconstruction at the local level), got engaged. Zach's rep was not available for comment.

After months of rumours it's now confirmed: sadly Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis have split after 14 years together. Johnny's publicist told Entertainment Tonight that the former couple "have amicably separated. Please respect their privacy and, more importantly, the privacy of their children."

Johnny, 49, and Vanessa, 39, have two children together, 13-year old Lily-Rose and 9-year old Jack. They were never officially married, however Vanessa once said to Elle, "I love the romance of 'let's get married', but then, when you have it so perfect ... I mean, I'm more married than anybody can be, we have two kids. Maybe one day, but it's something I can really do without."

Froukje de Both and Jeroen te Rehorst's relationship is over. The former couple were to wed in July, but announced in April that they had called off the wedding. The tv presenter, 40, and dj, 32, tried living separately, but came to the ultimate conclusion that their relationship wasn't what it used to be and therefore decided to end it.

Froukje and Jeroen (a.k.a. DJ Dekky) have one daughter together, 3-year old Emma.

Dutch singer Thomas Berge (real name: Chiel Ottink) is in love. His new flame is Myrthe Mylius, who can be seen in the Net5 series Nederlandse Hollywood Vrouwen (Dutch women in Hollywood show their lives on a weekly basis on tv). Myrthe moved to Hollywood for ex-husband Ryan. She splits her time between Hollywood and the Netherlands, she has been spotted out and about with another guy after her divorce from the real estate agent, but apparently she's just as in love with Thomas as he's with her. Model and photographer Myrthe and Thomas, 22, spend a considerable amount of time with each other. Myrthe was present when Thomas was recording his new music video and last week she tweeted photos of them together at the beach.

Jillian Michaels is a mom x2!

Yesterday I wrote about Jillian Michaels' daughter, but now there's more news! The former The Biggest Loser trainer did not only adopt a 2-year old daughter from Haiti. Jillian's girlfriend, Heidi Rhoades, has given birth to a son too! So now Jillian is a mom to toddler Lukensia and son Phoenix.

Jillian told People Magazine about her two year journey to adopt from Haiti and that Heidi gave birth to baby boy Phoenix the same week that she was able to bring Lukensia home. "We're swimming in babies over here." The family went from two to four in a matter of a week, but it's been great, "I don't even answer email. I don't have time to care about anything else. I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don't want to rush any of it."

Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed to marry October 1st

Seems like the wedding is on! Recently we all could see on tv how KISS bass player Gene Simmons proposed to his girlfriend of 28 years, Shannon Tweed. Shannon accepted, but revealed that the couple had relationship problems and that it was unsure if they really would get married. It now seems as if the counselling helped, since the couple have sent out wedding invites for their nuptials this October 1st in Beverly Hills. The ceremony will take place at the Beverly Hills Hotel and guests are asked to wear "classy cocktail attire," however, the almost newlyweds know their guest, "we know some Rockstar attire will be worn."

Minka Kelly dating Charlie's Angels co-star?

News of Derek Jeter and Minka Kelly's split just broke, and whereas female Yankee fans are still buzzing about Derek's single status, Minka Kelly has already been subjected to new romance rumours.

Sources on the set of Charlie's Angels report to People Magazine about a close & late-night friendship between Minka and co-star Ramon Rodriquez. "We have seen Minka and Ramon talking in his trailer way after hours, and often late into the night. They have been together long after they need to be for the show." Another source doesn't hear wedding bells in their future, "They're just friends. Ramon is basically the only guy on set, so of course they all hang out with him."

Minka, 31, and Derek, 37, had been together for three years, when they broke up. Ramon Rodriquez, 31, plays a much younger version of John Bosley on ABC's Charlie's Angels, he is also known for his roles in The Wire and Day Break. Ramon's rep nor an ABC rep commented on the rumour.

JustJared reports that Minka Kelly and Derek Jeter have called it quits after being together for 3 years.

Minka's rep says, "They care about each other and it was amicable. They're still friends." The very private couple hardly ever talked about their relationship. The star of the new TV show Chalie's Angels, 31, spent a lot of time in the stadium though, she was there when Derek, 37, got his 3000th hit in July.

Sean Penn has a new girlfriend

Sean Penn has a new leading lady in his life and her name is Shannon Costello. The new couple took their romance public at the beginning of July, when they were spotted on the beach. Earlier this month they were spotted having dinner at Nobu. Shannon was initially misidentified as Stacey Koplin.

Shannon and Sean met in the fall of 2009 and became friends. 26-year old Shannon used to be the communications directer of Sean's J/P Haitian Relief Organization, she also worked on Davis Guggenheim's documentary Waiting for Superman and worked for ABC News's 20/20. She has just started a new project: producer, along with Brian Grazer, for Ron Howard's film Under The Banner of Heaven.

After a 10 year relationship Sarah Gilbert and Allison Adler have broken up. The couple started dating in 2001. Sarah and Allison have two children, who they'll share custody of, a 6 1/2-year old son, Levi Hank, and a 4-year old daughter, Sawyer.

Sarah, known for her role as Darlene in Roseanne and as presenter of The Talk, came publicly out as gay in July 2010.

Christopher Knight files for divorce from America's Next Top Model winner

Brady Bunch star Christopher Knight has filed for divorce from his wife of five years, America's Next Top Model winner Adrienne Curry.

Christopher, 53, and Adrienne, 29, met in 2005, when they both participated in VH1's Surreal Life. The married one year later. They announced their separation in May 2011, but Christopher didn't file for divorce until August 19th. He cited "irreconcilable differences." This was his third marriage and her first. The almost-divorced couple doesn't have any children together.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith are still very much together. Will responds to the break up rumours via his publicist, saying, "Although we are reluctant to respond to these types of press reports, the rumours circulating about our relationship are completely false. We are still together, and our marriage is intact."

At the same time Jada's spokesperson Karynne Tencer commented on the rumour that Jada and Marc Anthony are involved, "All the rumours regarding Marc Anthony and Jada are false. Completely untrue. As for (the reports of a split between) Will and Jada, I'm not commenting on their personal life." A rep for Marc addressed the rumours as well, saying, "We unequivocally deny this. Enough is enough. There are families involved, children involved, friendships involved. This is NOT true."

The couple reportedly is deciding whether or not to take legal action against InTouch Weekly. A source told Radar Online, "Like any other A-list couple they're used to inaccurate reports sometimes, but when it comes to their marraige, they don't appreciate anyone demeaning it. They're good sports and they're laughing about it, but they have to talk about it with their legal counsel to protect themselves."

Will's son Trey, from his first marriage, had already addressed the break up rumours over Twitter. Tweeting, "Did #WillandJada split? No they did NOT split! False information!" and "Everyone can think what they want ...Even when it's not true #Lame"

Chloe Lattanzi has called off her wedding to fiancé James Driskill, after she found out that he is already married. The 25-year old singer and daughter of Grease actress Olivia Newton-John was set to marry the martial arts expert later this year.

Chloe found out that James had married Nina, a Swiss national, in 2005 and they never divorced. Furthermore, it is said that he was still living under the same roof with Nina, albeit already separated, when he met Chloe in 2009. Australian New Idea magazine quotes a friend of L.A.-based Chloe as saying, "Chloe is devastated and so is her mum. She's had to deal with so much emotional turmoil already in her life, and everyone was thrilled that she finally seemed to find happiness." Olivia is said to do everything in her power to help her daughter overcome her heartache.

James, who met Chloe at an L.A. club where he worked as a bouncer, said to friends that he didn't divorce Nina due to a "combination of lack of money and lack of experience." He now wants to postpone the wedding to early next year. However, Chloe is in no rush to get to the altar. New Idea quotes her friend as saying, "Olivia is very protective of her daughter and wants to make sure that she does not get hurt [more] then she already is."

I wonder why James hadn't dropped this bombshell before they got engaged and started wedding planning. After all, being married already severely cuts you chances - read: there's 0 percent chance- of getting married again, to someone else.

Have Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith split?

According to a report in In Touch Weekly Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith have called it quits after 13 years of marriage. The Hollywood power couple has two children together, son Jaden, 13, and daughter Willow, 10. A spokesperson for Will, 42, and Jada, 39, has yet to comment on the magazine's claims.

When true, this would be Will's second marriage to end in divorce. He was married to Sheree Zampino from 1992 to 1995. Together they have a son, Willard Christopher Smith -known as Trey-, who's 18-years old.

Will and Jada first met in 1990, when she auditioned for the part of Will's on-screen persona in The Fresh Prince. She didn't get the part, because she was considered too short. Will and Jada married in 1997, in a ceremony attended by 100 guests near her hometown of Baltimore. At the time of the wedding she was two months pregnant with Jaden.

A reason to take the In Touch story with a grain of salt is the interview the couple gave to Architectural Digest, just one month ago, when there was no sign of any trouble whatsoever and happily posed for an intimate family photo shoot.

Jesse James and Kat von D are engaged. Again.

Kat von D and Jesse James are back together and engaged again. Both Jesse and Kat posted photos of themselves in embraces on twitter. Jesse added, "Para siempre" to his photo, Spanish for "forever".

Jesse made an official statement to People Magazine, he said, "Sometimes you are only given one chance in life. It was up to me to open my eyes and see it. That girl is my chance. I will never stop fighting and striving to hold on to her. Showing her how special she is, and how much I love her."

The news that Kat is wearing her engagement ring again, comes right after network TLC announced that this season will be the last for Kat's show L.A. Ink. The network said in a statement, "TLC has decided that the current season of L.A. Ink will be its last," they said in a statement. "The network is proud of what the series has accomplished in its four seasons, following Kat Von D's journey as an artist from Miami to Los Angeles. The series finale will air September 15th at 10 p.m."

This season will play out the relationship between Jesse and Kat, from the lovey-dovey moments to its downfall, that led the couple to call off their engagement.
