Miss World 2012 Winner To Be Crowned Tonight (Results)

The coronation night of the 2012 Miss World will be held tonight, August 18, 2012, at the Dongsheng Fitness Center Stadium in Ordos, Inner Mongolia, China. Miss World 2011 winner Ivian Sarcos of Venezuela will crown her successor at the end of the event.

There are 116 candidates vying for the coveted title this year, marking the biggest turnout in the pageant's history.

For nearly a month now, the contestants have been rehearsing for the big night and competing in several challenge events.

The first Miss World winner was Kiki Hakansson of Sweden, while Hollywood actress Halle Berry was a finalist in 1986 and Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai took the crown in 1994.

Venezuela has produced the most number of Miss World title holders, 6, while India and Great Britain claim five titles each.
