Meet Adalaide Kelley!

Josh Kelley and Katherine Heigl recently announced the adoption of their second daughter. Last week the couple (finally) revealed that they named their baby girl Adalaide Marie Hope. This week Katherine, 33, has been spotted out and about with the newest addition to the family. Yesterday the actress was photographed in Beverly Hills with her mother and her youngest daughter. She allowed photographers a glimpse of her newborn. The baby girl was sound asleep as she was toted by her mother.

Adalaide was adopted domestically. She joins big sister Naleigh, who was adopted from South Korea 3 years ago. Katherine has been very vocal about adoption, "My feeling about adoption is. Why not? There's nothing about it that makes it any less meaningful of a relationship in my mind," and, "My husband and I wanted to have a baby, and to us it didn't matter how it happened. Adoption has been a part of my life and a part of my family, so it was how I wanted to start. It felt natural and right to me."

Yesterday I wrote about Jillian Michaels' daughter, but now there's more news! The former The Biggest Loser trainer did not only adopt a 2-year old daughter from Haiti. Jillian's girlfriend, Heidi Rhoades, has given birth to a son too! So now Jillian is a mom to toddler Lukensia and son Phoenix.

Jillian told People Magazine about her two year journey to adopt from Haiti and that Heidi gave birth to baby boy Phoenix the same week that she was able to bring Lukensia home. "We're swimming in babies over here." The family went from two to four in a matter of a week, but it's been great, "I don't even answer email. I don't have time to care about anything else. I want to be really present and enjoy all the nuances of their growth and development. I don't want to rush any of it."

Jillian Michaels has talked about the waiting game that is an adoption procedure before. Last year, she quit working on The Biggest Loser in order to focus on motherhood. In May 2011, she said, "The paperwork is done, and now it's just a waiting game. It could be six months, twelve months; it could be two years. Or it could be tomorrow!" Then last January she was matched to a child, "I've been matched with a little girl. I went over to visit orphanages and I ended up falling in love with this little girl, and by the grace of God, I got matched up with her." And now Jillian has picked up her daughter and has given her a home. Yesterday, the fitness trainer, 38, was spotted out and about with her daughter for the first time. The adorable little girl, whose name hasn't been released, can be seen being kissed and cuddled by Jillian, as well as exploring Malibu. Cute!

Katherine Heigl and husband Josh Kelley recently adopted a second child. The adoption of a baby girl was confirmed, but further details were kept under wraps. That is, until now, Katherine revealed to People Magazine that they named their daughter Adalaide Marie Hope.

Little Adalaide joins big sister Naleigh, 3½. Whereas Naleigh was adopted from South-Korea, newborn Adalaide came to the Heigl-Kelley family through domestic adoption. 


On Mother's Day the family of four was spotted out and about. Josh, 32, tweeted, "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!! What cha got planned for today. Hope you dudes out there take care of your ladies. No skimping..." He then tweeted a photo of the breakfast he prepared for Katherine, 33, and I must say, it looked delicious.

Katherine Heigl, 33, and husband Josh Kelley, 32, have expanded their family. The actress and the singer-songwriter have adopted a second daughter. Her rep confirms the news, "Yes, they have adopted a baby." No further details were provided.

The couple are already parents to 3-year old daughter Naleigh, she is originally from South-Korea.

Katherine always wanted to adopt, she said recently "We have talked about having biological children as well, but we decided to adopt first. I'd like to adopt again." She also said, "My sister Meg is Korean, and my parents adopted her three years before I was born. I wanted my own family to resemble the one I came from, so I always knew I wanted to adopt from Korea."

I wonder what name the new member of the Kelley family is given!

 Charlize Theron, 36, has become a first time mother. Her rep has confirmed that she has adopted a baby boy named Jackson. No further details regarding her son have been released.

Appearing on The View last Tuesday, Denise Richards spoke about the adoption of her youngest daughter, Eloise Joni. When she split from ex-husband Charlie Sheen, Denise knew that her family wasn't complete yet. Of course, she was overjoyed with daughters Sam, now 7, and Lola Rose, now 6, but "I've always wanted more children and had to make a decision: do I wait to find the right partner, or do it on my own?" The Real Girl Next Door author, 40, shared this on The View and added, "So I just did it on my own."

Denise also talked about the adoption process, "I was actually open to either gender and I started the process two years ago." Daughter Eloise is now 6 weeks old and the transition from a family of three to a family of four has proven to be a smooth one, big sisters Sam and Lola are very excited about their baby sister. Denise says, "The older ones are so great, the baby is such a blessing. Sami and Lola help so much and pick out her clothes and feed her."

Denise recently had a babyshower to introduce the newest addition to the 'Richards'-family. The shower proved to be exactly what Denise had wanted, "I thought she deserved it, and it was a wonderful way for my friends who hadn't met het yet to meet her."

Gilles Marini and his wife Carole are contemplating adoption. The couple are already parents to Georges and Julianna. Gilles told People Magazine, "If we ever have another child, it would absolutely be an adoption." The 35-year old actor and former Dancing With The Stars finalist, added, "In my mind, I’m like, ‘I have both of my kids. Done. Check. Let’s help someone who has no parents. It makes sense.’" He said about entering the adoption process, "Let's see what my next two years work-wise are about, and if they're bright, then easily. Even kids from the region, there are a lot of orphans in L.A. You'd be surprised." He joked, "I'm going to ask for some advice from Angelina."
