Johnny Depp is an awesome actor and, as lots of us know, he's also a musician (showing his skills on guitar and drums with multiple bands such as Oasis). Yesterday he took to the stage with friend Marilyn Manson. Johnny, 48, played guitar during the
entire Marilyn Manson performance at Revolver magazine's Golden Gods Awards at Club Nokia in L.A.
Being his usual ubercool self, Johnny rocked the guitar and wasn't recognized (or perhaps the audience was too baffled and didn't believe their own eyes). However, at the end of
Sweet Dreams, Marilyn Manson said "If you don't recognize my personal friend... my personal savior... my personal guitar hero... Johnny Depp" and the crowd showed their appreciation by screaming and clapping.
When you weren't there to see it live (like me *sigh*), Johnny plays guitar and drums on the Marilyn Manson song (and Carly Simon cover)
You're So Vain from the upcoming album
Born Villain.
