One of the most ambiguous actors to ever hit it big, Keanu Reeves has been by turns adored, reviled, & grudgingly respected by movie goers. As the controversy over his talent rages on, he continues to get A list projects. For every Dracula there is a Speed, for every Johnny Mnomonic there is a Matrix. The other evening, the Husband & I broke into a bit of a sweat while watching a scene where Keanu receives an oiled up massage from a hot man, while wearing just a tight pair of leather breeches in Much Ado About Nothing. I did a film with him- I Love You To Death. He was every bit the gentleman, & surprisingly tall & handsome. He seemed, to me, to put himself out there as just a regular guy who rides a motorcycle, plays in a band, & shows up on a film set every once in awhile. He invited me to see him play with his band- Dogstar at a small club in Seattle… & I actually went. I was a 40 something guy standing in a mosh pit of mostly young girls. It is a well known secret in the film business, that Keanu Reeves often defers a portion of his large salary to the crew members. Today Mr. Reeves turns 45 years old.
