'X Factor Philippines' August 26, 2012: Who Was Eliminated?

"The X Factor Philippines" returned on Sunday, August 26, 2012, for the 4th results show.

The Top 9 contestants kicked off the show by performing with the first "Star Power" grand champion Angeline Quinto. After the commercial break, the finalists were back on stage with their mentors as host KC Concepcion told them whether they're safe or not.

KC then announced the following as safe: Allen Jane Sta. Maria, Daddy's Home, Gabriel Maturan, Joan Da, Jeric Medina, KZ Tandingan, and Kedebon Colim. That means Takeoff landed in the Bottom 2 again, together with the oldest contender Modesto Taran.

For their survival performances, Mang Modesto sang another classic from Lou Rawls, "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine," while Takeoff did their version of Westlife's "Flying Without Wings."

Who did the judges eliminate? Three of them, including his mentor Pilita Corales, said it was time for Mang Modesto to go home. Martin Nievera did not anymore cast his vote as Mang Modesto already received enough votes to be sent home.

"X Factor Philippines" airs another performance and elimination episodes on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

'Fast Times At Ridgemont High' Actress Jennifer Jason Leigh Joins 'Revenge' Cast

"Fast Times At Ridgemont High" star Jennifer Jason Leigh
Award-winning actress Jennifer Jason Leigh, best known for her role in the 1982 comedy film "Fast Times At Ridgemont High," will be joining the cast of the hit TV series "Revenge" for its second season.

Leigh, 50, is set to portray the role of Kara Wilkins, mother of  Emily Thorne (the main character played by Emily VanCamp).

"What you're going to discover about the woman who was Emily's mother is the circumstances under which they were separated, and you're going to find that there's some deep psychological issues with her, which I think is going to be fun for us to explore," show creator Mike Kelley previously told EW.com.

"For Emily," he said, "she's going to start seeing some of the psychological damage that her mother has in herself."

"Revenge" returns on ABC this September.

Below will be the plot of "Revenge" Season 2 according to Wikipedia:

"The season opens with a flash forward to a wedding, to Emily’s wedding, with the groom obviously mysterious.

Discoveries will be made about the woman who is Emily’s mother being the circumstances under which they were separated and that she has some deep seeded psychological issues. For Emily, she’s going to start seeing some of the psychological damage that her mother has in herself which obviously leads to a lot of soul-searching about who she is, what part DNA has played in her life choices and how she’s going to move forward, whether or not this person is going to be part of her life or if this is going to be someone that is going to disappoint and hurt her.

Although one would think that it doesn’t get much darker than jail time, Daniel is going to do his best to continue down that path in Season 2 though he will fall short of becoming a full-blown Grayson."

'The Glass House' To Premiere As Scheduled

The Glass House (ABC)
ABC's "The Glass House" is set to air its premiere episode on June 18, as previously scheduled.

U.S. District Judge Gary Feess in Los Angeles denied CBS' request for a temporary restraining order that would block ABC from airing its new show, which follows 14 contestants as they live together and compete for $250,000.

CBS had already filed a lawsuit against ABC, alleging "The Glass House" a rip off of its reality series "Big Brother." The suit, which is still pending, claims copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets.

"The audience involvement playing a constant role is very likely to induce quite different behavior than one would see on Big Brother," said Feess, who described the elements of the shows "generic."

Responding to the ruling, CBS said: "We appreciate the Court’s continuing consideration of this case and our request for an injunction. Win, lose or draw on the TRO, we fully intend to proceed with our claims against Disney/ABC for copyright infringement and misappropriation of trade secrets over 'The Glass House,' which may still warrant more injunction proceedings depending on the content of each episode.

It added: "At the same time, we will move forward with our individual claims for liability and liquidated damages against any current 'The Glass House' producer who violated their Big Brother confidentiality agreement."

'Game Of Thrones' Creators Explain Decapitated George W. Bush Head

"Game Of Thrones" scene featuring fake head of Bush
"Game of Thrones" creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said they were not making any political statement when they featured a decapitated head resembling former US President George W. Bush in a scene.

"It's not a choice, it's not a political statement. We just had to use whatever heads we had lying around," they explained. "We use a lot of prosthetic body parts on the show: heads, arms, etcetera. We can't afford to have these all made from scratch, especially in scenes where we need a lot of them, so we rent them in bulk. After the scene was already shot, someone pointed out that one of the heads looked like George W. Bush."

They added: "We meant no disrespect to the former president and apologize if anything we said or did suggested otherwise."

Home Box Office (HBO), meanwhile, has released a statement addressing the graphic prop choice.

"We were deeply dismayed to see this and find it unacceptable, disrespectful and in very bad taste," the network said. "We made this clear to the executive producers of the series who apologized immediately for this inadvertent careless mistake."

HBO added that the scene would be removed from future DVD production.

But running is not Mary's passion - she chose to be a singer instead.

On Monday's audition episode, the 21-year-old college student performed Sara Bareilles' "Gravity" which impressed the judges, who sent her to the next round of the competition.

"I've sat at home and watched this show every season. Some people give me goosebumps. Some don't. you had me in 30 seconds. I thought you did a tremendous job,"said judge Howard Stern.

Check out the performance of Flo Jo's daughter below:

'CSI: Miami' Cancelled: CBS Axes Popular Series

CSI: Miami Cancelled
CBS has cancelled its hit series, "CSI: Miami," after 10 seasons.

In a statement, the network said: "'CSI: Miami' leaves an amazing television legacy — a signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS’ rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers — led by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue — and its talented cast, led by David Caruso, for 10 outstanding seasons. Viewers around the world will continue to enjoy rebroadcasts of 'CSI: Miami' in syndication and on key digital platforms for many years to come."

"CSI: Miami" reportedly had dealt with depressed ratings and sharply increased production costs in recent seasons. It is the first series in the CSI franchise to be cancelled.

In 2006, "CSI: Miami" was named the World's Most Popular TV Show following rating studies of 20 countries worldwide conducted by Informa Telecoms and Media. The show had also received several awards including 2 Emmys.

With their ten-year friendship on the line will the ladies make amends or remain enemies? Viewers will see Tami's problems with Kesha come to a boiling point, as well as how this season has affected Shaunie's perception of her group of friends as she seeks help from a higher power to get through it all.

"The ladies' trip to Tahiti erupts when Jen is called out on her erratic behavior. After the trip, Shaunie seeks an assist from a higher power in making a life-altering decision.

"The final showdown of the season comes down to Jen Vs. Evelyn, but when Evelyn is ready to talk, it seems like Jennifer never is."

VH1 also announced that the emotional two-part Basketball Wives Reunion Special will air on June 4th and June 11th at 8PM. The show will reportedly begin with Shaunie commenting on this season's criticism and recommits to showing a more balanced picture of the ladies' lives. It will also answer the following questions:  Can Evelyn and Jennifer finally reconcile their differences? Will Tami apologize to Kesha for her behavior in Tahiti? Can these ladies be honest with one another and remain friends?
