Rihanna Cries, Opens Up To Oprah (Video)

Rihanna cries while being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey in the preview video for the next episode of the latter's show, "Oprah’s Next Chapter."

In the preview, the singer tears up as she opened up about her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

"I lost my best friend," Rihanna tells Winfrey. "Like, everything I knew switched — switched overnight. And I couldn’t control that, so I had to deal with that, and that’s not easy for me to understand or interpret. And it’s not easy to interpret on camera. Not with the world watching."

Winfrey then asks the 24-year-old "Where Have You Been" songstress if she understands the velocity of the incident to the world.

"Absolutely, absolutely, but nobody could feel that more than me," Rihanna says. "I was hurt the most. Nobody felt what I felt."

Rihanna adds: "It became a circus and I felt protective. I felt like the only person they hate right now is him. It was a weird, confusing space to be in because as angry as I was, as angry and hurt and betrayed, I just felt like he made that mistake because he needed help… Nobody’s gonna say he needs help. Everybody’s gonna say he’s a monster."

Rihanna’s full interview with Oprah is set to air on OWN this Sunday, at 9 p.m. EST.

Drake, Rihanna unleash 'Take Care' music video

The music video for Drake and Rihanna's "Take Care" has finally premiered. Check it out below:

"Take Care" is the career single of Drake's second studio album of the same name. It debuted at number nine on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart upon its release. It has received as platinum certification from Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for  exceeding 1,000,000 copies in the US.

Directed by Yoann Lemoine, its music video was earlier reported to be released on March 23, however due to delay in editing, it was postponed.

"It had to go through a process – I shot it with a director who's incredible and we were just very specific about it," Drake told CapitalFM. "It's a big record and a lot of footage. It's very artistic very abstract video – something that I wasn't used to."

Drake added: "I'm usually used to a very straight forward concept so I'm really excited for people to see it because it's actually just something beautiful to look at. There's actually for once no story necessarily as far as there being a narrative like 'What's My Name?' or 'We Found Love' where there's stories. This is just beautiful imagery. We have it where it needs to be now......Rihanna has signed off on it and she loves it".

In a separate interview, Rihanna said: "I can't wait to see what all my fans think, I saw it a couple of days a go, I love it. It's beautiful, It's different from anything Drake has ever done"

Rihanna explains recent Chris Brown collaborations

Rihanna and Chris Brown (Photo: Euroweb.com)
Rihanna has explained why she decided to collaborate with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown on two remixed singles, three years after the latter's highly-publicized assault on the former.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest on his syndicated morning radio show Thursday, Rihanna said it "made sense" and it's "innocent."

"The first song that came about was ‘Birthday Cake.’ I mean we ended up recording them at the same time and executing them together, but I reached out to him about doing ‘Birthday Cake’ because that’s the only person that really — it made sense to do the record. Just as a musician despite everything else that was going to be the person. You know I thought about rappers, and I’ve done that so many times, and the hottest R&B artist out right now is Chris Brown. So I wanted him on the track, and then in turn he was like ‘Why don’t you do the remix to my track?’ and it was a trade off. We did two records. One for my fans. One for his fans, and that way our fans can come together. There shouldn’t be a divide. You know? It’s music, and it’s innocent," the "We Found Love" singer said.

Brown nearly destroyed his career after he was arrested for beating up his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. He has been trying to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of fans with mixed results since that time.

The musical reunion of Rihanna and Brown was a hot topic online. The collaboration had mixed reactions from fans with some making cynical comments, others calling it a publicity stunt and many embracing the new songs.

Nicki Minaj, Rihanna "Fly" Lyrics
[Rihanna - Chorus]
I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive
I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise
To fly
To fly

[Nicki Minaj]
I wish today it will rain all day
Maybe that will kinda make the pain go away
Trying to forgive you for abandoning me
Praying but I think I’m still an angel away
Angel away, yeah strange in a way
Maybe that is why I chase strangers away
They got their guns out aiming at me
But I become near when they aiming at me
Me, me, me against them
Me against enemies, me against friends
Somehow they both seem to become one
A sea full of sharks and they all see blood
They start coming and I start rising
Must be surprising, I’m just summising
Win, thrive, soar, higher, higher, higher
More fire

[Rihanna - Chorus]
I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive
I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise
To fly
To fly

[Nicki Minaj - Verse 2]
Everybody wanna try to box me in
Suffocating everytime it locks me in
Paint they own pictures than they crop me in
But I will remain where the top begins noypistuff

Cause I am not a word, I am not a line
I am not a girl that can every be defined
I am not fly, I am levitation
I represent an entire generation
I hear the criticism loud and clear
That is how I know that the time is near
So we become alive in a time of fear
And I aint got no muthaf-cking time to spare
Cry my eyes out for days upon days
Such a heavy burden placed upon me
But when you go hard your nay’s become yay’s
Yankee Stadium with Jay’s and Kanye’s

[Rihanna - Chorus]
I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive
I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise
To fly
To fly

[Nicki Minaj - Bridge]
Get ready for it
Get ready for it
Get ready for it
I came to win
Get ready for it
Get ready for it
I came to win

[Rihanna - Chorus]
I came to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive
I came to win, to survive, to prosper, to rise
To fly
To fly
