Vintage Gratuitous

In living with my challenge to do a post each day, & owning up to the fact that I just can't find an angle for today- no famous gay person's birthday, no new music, no remembrances from my reckless & restless time in this incarnation, no alliteration, I need, as always, to be honest & confess that this post is gratuitous.... but it is vintage.

Gratuitious...

Grant Bowler

New Zealand's Grant Bowler is just my type (meaning, male & between 25 & death). Weigh in with your opinion, please?

Gratuitious

My dearest readers & fellow blogging buddies,
I am sorry to have not posted much in the past 72 hours. Sometimes it is difficult to come up with something to hold your interest between my job, whiskey shots & nervous breakdowns.
It is not because you don't matter; you mean the world to me. Because I feel that I might have let you down, I offer up something gratuitous:

Forgive me?

Pretty People Have Birthdays Too

It is not enough that they are pretty, they have to get older too.

I care almost nothing about his career, but I appreciate a straight guy who is secure enough in his own sexuality & masculinity, that he finds the gay rumors about him to be "fun & exciting. I am however a fan of Bradley Cooper's chest.

I like him better furry.

Mad Men is not just my favorite TV show, but I find it to better than any film. Sharing 4 seasons with the characters in this excellent show has been exalting, exhausting & elating. January Jones' work as Betty Draper has always amazed me, & her character's arc has been a true reflection of the place of women in American society in the 1960s. I suppose she has a swell chest too, but I am a leg man.

Jake or Jake?

I am having a particularly lovely, low key Sunday. The Husband has watched A Summer Place & Hitchcock's Suspicion, leaving me to consider People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive Issue. Although I am a fan of Mr. Reynolds, to really appreciate his talents he needs to be showing his nipples. I find a variety of men, of different ages & body types, attractive & sexy. On this late autumn cold & rainy Sunday, I am trying to decide between my 2 favorite Jakes. Which Jake would you take? If you were forced to choose just one... Gyllenhaal or Shears?

Gratuitous

Wheeled into a truckstop at a little place called Hamburger Dan's
I heard that jukebox a playin' song about a truck drivin' man
That waitress done brought me some coffee I thanked her then called her back again
I said you know that song it sure does fit me cause I'm a truck drivin' man
Pour me another cup of coffee for it is the best in the land
I'll put another quarter in the jukebox & play the Truck Drivin' Man

Gratuitous

The Husband- very smooth & very toned.
Me- no gorilla, but hairy chested & chunky.
Unlike most gay men that I know, I don't actually have a "type". Many gay guys are very specific, very- "smooth Asian Twinks under 5'7'' & no more than 24 years old, & with highlights" or "over 6 foot & Germanic, with little education". My very good friend T-  handsome & tall, likes them very short & very ethnic. I am quite in touch with my inner slut & my cruising motto is "over 21 & still breathing", but often, body hair will catch me attention (think 1980s Tom Selleck). Still, it is all about the person: their confidence, their talent, their sense of humor... & their admiration of my good taste, excellent judgment & considerable talents.
