Summer Song... Once Upon A Summertime

Once upon a summertime if you recall
We stopped beside a little flower stall
A bunch of bright forget-me-nots
Was all I let you buy me

Once upon a summertime just like today
We laughed the happy afternoon away
& stole a kiss in every street cafe
You were sweeter
Than the blossom on the tree
I was as proud as any boy could be
As if the major had offered me the key,
The key to Paris

Now another wintertime has come & gone
The pigeons feeding in the square have flown
But I remember when the vespers chime
You loved me once upon a summertime

Tous les lilas, tous les lilas de mai
N'en finiront, n'en finiront jamais
De faire la fete du coeur
Des jeunes qui s'aiment
S'aiment, s'aiment

Now another wintertime has come & gone
The pigeons feeding in the square have flown
But I remember when the vespers chime
You loved me once upon a summertime...

September Song... What Are You Doing The Rest Of Your Life?

What are you doing the rest of your life?
North & South & East & West of your life?
I have only one request of your life
That you spend it all with me.

All the seasons & the times of your days.
All the nickels & the dimes of your days.
Let the reasons & the rhymes of your days.
All begin & end with me.

I want to see your face,
In every kind of light,
In fields of gold &
Forests of the night;
& when you stand before
The candles on a cake.
Oh let me be the one to hear
The silent wish you make.

Those tomorrows waiting deep in your eyes
In the world of love you keep in your eyes,
I'll awaken what's asleep in your eyes,
It may take a kiss or 2..

Through all of my life..
Summer, Winter, Spring & Fall of my life,
All I ever will recall of my life
Is all of my life with you.

Summer Song #37... The Summer Knows

Summer is my favorite season & August, my favorite month. August: 31 days, no holidays, vacation. I am my most content in late summer & I always a bit bittersweet to say goodbye to the season. The summer smiles.

The summer smiles
The summer knows
& unashamed
She sheds her clothes

The summer smoothes
The restless sky
& lovingly
She warms the sand
On which you lie

The summer knows
The summer’s wise
She sees the doubts
Within your eyes

& so she takes
Her summertime
Tells the moon to wait
& the sun to linger
Twist the world
Round her summer finger

Lets you see
The wonder of it all

& if you’ve learned
Your lesson well
There’s little more
For her to tell

One last caress
It’s time to dress
For fall...

Summer Song #33... Summer Me, Winter Me

Summer me, winter me
& with your kisses morning me, evening me
& as the world sleeps far away, star away
Forever me with love

Wonder me, wander me
Then by a fire pleasure me, peaceful me
& in the silence quietly, whisper me
Forever me with love, forever me with love

& every day I'll gentle you, tender you
& oh, the way I'll velvet you, clover you
I'll wrap you up & ribbon you, rainbow you
& shower you with shine

Suddenly, magically
We found each other there we are, here we are
I plan to let you happy me, summer me, winter me
Always be mine

'Cause suddenly, magically
We found each other there we are, here we are
I plan to let you happy me, summer me, winter me
Always be mine

Better in French?  Isn't it always better in French?

Été-moi, hiver-moi

égaye-moi, été-moi, hiver-moi
