Ian Somerhalder For Penshoppe: 'Vampire Diaries' Star Visiting Philippines To Endorse Local Clothing Brand

After Ed Westwick and Zac Efron, Penshoppe has tapped another hollywood celebrity to be its endorser.

"Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is coming to the Philippines soon to endorse the local clothing brand. The actor himself confirmed his upcoming visit in the country and his Penshoppe endorsement via his Twitter account.

“See you soon PHILIPPINES! ;) Let’s rock this #PENSHOPPEAllStars,” Somerhalder tweeted on Thursday.

Somerhalder will be part of the “Penshoppe All Stars” campaign which also features Westwick, Efron, and another Penshoppe endorser, Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer.

“Penshoppe is very excited to work with Ian and our team is doing everything to make this a truly memorable visit for him. He will be staying in the Philippines for a week to shoot his campaign at an environmental-friendly resort as well as participate in a press conference to be held in Manila,” said Joyce A. Ramirez of PR Asia Worldwide in an official statement.

She added that the 33-year-old actor is already en route to Manila.

A mall in Davao was supposed to have Somerhalder in an event last month. The mall, however, cancelled the event, explaining that there were "changes in the cast's scheduled Philippine tour."

The dashing Ian Somerhalder just became more swoon-worthy. The 32-year old Vampire Diaries actor - a.k.a. vampire Damon - testified for wildlife conversation before the American Congress on Thursday. Ian is head of the Ian Somerhalder Foundation, that "focuses its work around three themes: habitat conservation, species protection and clean energy initiatives," in order for people to positively impact the planet and all its inhabitants. Ian has said that, "Wildlife and environmental conservation has always been not just a passion, but a priority of mine," he said.

Ian showed statistics about endangered tigers, rhinos, elephants, marine turtles and apes, in order to get the Congress to consider H.R. 50, a multinational special conversation funds reathorisation act. "Species conversation is beyond a doubt an issue that truly matters to the American public," he said. "We're lucky in this case, because many of our most beloved wildlife species are clinging to survival by a thread."

How wonderful that Ian is such a dedicated man!
