Born On This Day- May 6th... My Boo- The Clooney

Clooney: "I think it’s funny, but the last thing you’ll ever see me do is jump up & down, saying, 'These are lies!' That would be unfair and unkind to my good friends in the gay community. I'm not going to let anyone make it seem like being gay is a bad thing. My private life is private, & I’m very happy in it. Who does it hurt if someone thinks I'm gay? I'll be long dead & there will still be people who say I was gay. I don't give a shit."

Straight But Not Narrow

Reporter: You’ve been very vocal lately about gay rights, & I was just curious, what’s your opinion of Mitt Romney since he appears to be the frontrunner for the Republicans & he’s been pretty anti-gay.

George Clooney: “Well, I’m not much concerned until there’s an actual nominee… but I think it’s the wrong side of history. I think everyone sort of understands it might be the last leg of the civil rights movement. I do believe that. So I think that at some point, It’s certainly not the wedge issue it was in 2004, so that’s a good sign. So those are important things to me.”

George Clooney and Stacy Keibler spent time together at Lake Como

George Clooney
George Clooney and his girlfriend of two years, Elisabetta Canalis, just broke up, but he's already dipping into the dating pool again.

Life & Style reports that George has been having a good time with former WWE star - that means wrestler - and Dancing with the Stars contestant Stacy Keibler. An 'insider' tells that Stacy recently spent some time with George at his Italian, Lake Como villa. Stacy tweeted, "I'm in heaven."

George and Stacy have known each other for a while and were set up by a mutual friend. "They have a lot of friends in common and run in the same circle," is what a friend tells the magazine. However, Stacy isn't looking for a commitment, which suits George just fine. She split from her longtime boyfriend, 7th Heaven's Geoff Stults, a year ago. The insider says, "He's enjoying spending time with Stacy, but he just got out of a two-year relationship. George isn't ready for anything serious. This fling is purely for fun."

Men I Am Zany For #9... Nothing Wrong With The Late 40s

For the 9th installment of Men I Am Zany For, I offer three men in their late 40s that seem to me to be better than anytime in their careers. They are very talented & very worth considering for a moment or two. Well, now as I view them for this post, I feel anything but relaxed.

I first made note of George Clooney when he was a supporting player on the first season of Roseanne (1986). I thought he seemed kinda yummy, but I had no idea that he would become my generation's Cary Grant (besides writing, directing, producing, & palling around with Brad Pitt).

Remember Christian Bale as a child actor in Empire of the Sun (1987)? He grew up real nice, don't you think? Check out his subtle work in the underrated Laurel Canyon or so very sexy in Portlander Todd Haynes directed Velvet Goldmine.

I have never quite recovered from my first glimpse of sexy & talented Michael T. Weiss, crouched naked in a box in the first installment of The Pretender (1996). Catch him loooking super hot & being goofy in Jeffery.

Can any of these kids like Zack Efron or Shia Labeouf compare to these men?
