Over the weekend, fans remembered Michael Jackson's death anniversary by visiting his Santa Barbara County ranch as well as the Jackson Family's home in Gary, IN, where Michael and his brothers lived there in the late ‘60s.
Many left love notes, cards, small toys and tie ribbons. Some reportedly cried.
Meanwhile, Michael's four brother’s Marlon, Jermaine, Tito and Jackie are honoring the "Thriller" singer's death by launching a 16-city tour, which kicked off on June 20 in Rama,Canada.
A Michael Jackson wax figure was also unveiled last week at the Madame Tussauds Hong Kong to commemorate the passing of the music legend.
Michael Jackson died from an overdose of the anesthetic propofol on June 25, 2009. Michael's death triggered grief around the world, creating unprecedented surges of Internet traffic and causing sales of his music and that of the Jackson 5 to increase dramatically. A public memorial service for the singer was held on July 7, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where he had rehearsed for the London concerts the night before his death. The service was broadcast live around the world, attracting a global audience of up to one billion people.
