Team Fortress 2 Cover (Valve) |
The hilariously fun and scary demented "Team Fortress 2" character trailer debuted on Youtube on Wednesday and has gone viral online, amassing more than 3 million views as of posting time.
To promote the "Team Fortress 2" video game, Valve had been releasing video advertisement series entitled "Meet the Team" since May 2007. The series, which were constructed using the Source engine and slightly more detailed character models, consists of short videos on individual characters, displaying their personalities and tactics.
During Wednesday's release of "Meet The Pyro," the company also announced that it would be releasing a Source Filmmaker for free this year on Steam. This software suite will allow anyone to create the same sort of videos that Valve has been making with their games.
