KC Concepcion to star with Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban in 'Alta'

KC Concepcion will not just be hosting on TV this year. Megastar's daughter is also set to showcase her acting skills in an upcoming teleserye on ABS-CBN, "Alta," which will also star Gretchen Barretto and Angelica Panganiban.

"Alta," which originated from the Spanish word "alta de sociedad" or high society, will be about glitz, glamor, deceit, vengeance and other facets of the luxurious world of high society.

In the series, KC will play as the younger sister of Gretchen, a dead-set on turning against the expectations that comes with being part of rich family.

KC said in an interview that she had to lose weight for the series and attend an acting workshop.

The Kapamilya actress had also expressed her excitement over the three main characters of the primetime soap.

"It’s really exciting kasi nag-shoot na kaming tatlong girls. Ako, na-e-excite ako kung ano kaya mangyayari sa kanilang tatlo, iba-ibang hugot ng damdamin, ng emosyon… Iba-iba yung kwento nilang tatlo e. It’s a new thing for me. Sa three years ko sa showbiz, ang dami ko ng nagawa pero this project makes me realize na madami pa akong pwedeng gawin," KC told Push in November.

The series will also star Zanjoe Marudo, Luis Manzano and Diether Ocampo.
