The Husband (who is very handsome & has a full head of silver hair) & are building up some real anticipation for season 3 of Mad Men (Sunday August 16th). We re-watched some of season 1 & marveled how well thought out the story arc was. There is so much foreshadowing at the start of the series. It is remarkable to watch it again. Mad Men is definitely a show that rewards careful re-watching. I thought it was a brilliant idea to start season 2 15 months in the future from the end of season 1.
The theme of season 2 seemed to me to be about identity... most importantly Don Draper, the enigmatic, brilliant ad man from the New York ad agency- Sterling Cooper, played by yummy & talented Jon Hamm. This season was also about the identities of Betty Draper (January Jones), Don’s wife who slowly realizes that her husband is a cheat, & Peggy Olson (Elisabeth Moss), the young woman who began the series as Don’s assistant & worked her way on to the writing staff with her talent & a little bit of a shove from Draper himself.
The upcoming season has me thinking about how hot I find John Slattery. the wonderful character actor who was showing up as a recurring or guest star on shows that I have watched for years (I loved Homefront (1991-92), anyone remember?). His portrayal of the chain smoking, boozing Roger on Mad Men was one of the finest performances on television last year.
So I pose this question... silver haired men, hot or not? Besides Mr. Slattery, I give you:
