'Bourne Legacy' Theatrical Trailer Arrives, Features Manila Scenes

The theatrical trailer of "The Bourne Legacy" has made its way online and it features some action-packed scenes shot in Manila.

Compared to the first trailer that came out in February, this one reveals more about the plot of the movie.

Check out the new trailer below:

"The Bourne Legacy" is the fourth installment of the "Bourne" film series.

Unlike the first three outings, this new "Bourne" movie is not based on a Jason Bourne novel. It is simply taking the title from the book but will not use the story.

"It's a completely original screenplay," director-screenwriter Tony Gilroy had said. "This is not a reboot or a recast or a prequel. No one's replacing Matt Damon. There will be a whole new hero, a whole new chapter... this is a stand-alone project."

The film stars Jeremy Renner as Aaron Cross and Rachel Weisz as Stephanie Snyder. The cast also includes Edward Norton, Joan Allen, Albert Finney, Scott Glenn, Stacy Keach, and Oscar Isaac.

Matt Damon's character Jason Bourne, the main protagonist in the first three movies, will not be appearing in "Bourne Legacy."

The film is set for theater release on August 3, 2012.
