Released 40 Years Ago Today...

I was 16 years old, & I took my money made from my busboy job, & headed to the record store to buy the new Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young album- Déjà Vu. Loretta Young had just been added to the line up of Bing Crosby (later in life, a sperm donor to noted lesbians), Stephen Stills, & noted American wit & poet- Ogden Nash. Déjà Vu would reach # 1 on the charts & have 3- #1 Singles: Teach Your Children, Our House, & a cover of Joni Mitchell's Woodstock. This single had already received radio play & at a tender 16, I let this song give me the romantic notion that I would be sharing my life with another man & we would have:

Our house is a very, very fine house
With 2 cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you

& this actually came to fruition, except that the cats are dogs.
