Peaches Geldof recently gave birth to her first child, a son she and fiancé Thomas Cohen named Astala. The couple is clearly in love with their baby boy, but Peaches reveals in an interview with Hello! magazine that her father, Bob Geldof is "besotted with Astala because he's his first grandchild, but especially, I think, because he's the first boy in the family." As much as the Boomtown Rat star loves his grandson, he's not particularly fond of the name Astala Dylan Willow, saying, "Yuck! What's he going to be called in school? Ass? Stella? It's a girl name, let's face it." Of course, with daughters named Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches Honeyblossom and Little Pixie, Bob has set the tone of unusual monikers in his family.

Peaches also talks about their terrifying ordeal in the hospital, when Astala was whisked away to the intensive care unit right after his birht. "It was the most terrifying experience, to have our tiny baby whisked away like that. I was yearning for that skin-to-skin contact I'd waited so long for and to not be able to hold him and nurse him and comfort him was so upsetting." The reason why Astala was cared for at the ICU was because "He had a lack of something called surfactant, which made it a struggle for him to breathe. He was in intensive care for a few days." Luckily the boy has made a full recovery, "to be able to finally hold him and take in all his little features was wonderful."

Peaches Geldof and fiancé Thomas Cohen have welcomed their first child, a baby boy they named Astala Dylan Willow Cohen. Peaches and Thomas, vocalist of S.C.U.M, announced the news to the world via Twitter. Peaches, 23, tweeted, "Yes, its true - I'M A MUMMY!!!!" and "My little boy is the most beautiful thing in this world. When he holds @tomfromscum's finger with his hand its the sweetest thing ever. X" Tom tweeted, "im a dad he is the most perfect thing ever so proud of his beautiful mum @peaches_g and overcome with joy x".

The couple had previously agreed on the unusual name for their son. Peaches said at the time "We found Astala in a baby name book - quite an obscure one. This is going to be a very stylish baby. I wanted a Jewish name because my fiancé is a Jew and the name is the male version of Esther."

Peaches and Thomas announced their engagement in December last year.
