Reese Witherspoon confirms she's pregnant with her third child

A public secret for months, Reese Witherspoon has now officially announced that she and husband Jim Toth are expecting their first child together. At the Gene Siskel Film Centre of the School of the Art Institute in Chicago Reese, 36, told the Chicago Sun-Times about her growing appetite, "I'm always feeling like I'd like to eat everything in sight!" She told the newspapers about her plans after wrapping Devil's Knot, co-starring Colin Firth, "I'm going to take a little time off and go have a baby."

Reese has two children from her marriage to Ryan Philippe, 12-year old Ava and 8-year old Deacon. The baby is expected in late summer/early autumn.

The rumour mill has been spinning out of control, since Reese has been spotted out and about sporting a series of loose-fitting shirts, skirts and dresses. Now, after weeks of speculation, a friend of Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth has confirmed the news to People Magazine: Reese, 36, is pregnant with her third child and "they are both thrilled."

Reese and Jim were married almost one year ago. Reese has two children, Ava, 12, and Deacon, 8, from her previous marriage to Ryan Philippe. She told British magazine Closer in January, "I would love to have more kids. My children are the best part of my day." The friend says that "Jim and Reese are looking forward to having a bigger family at this point in life. They can take the time to enjoy the next stage and make sure the transition for all is easy and joyful."

The British Marie Claire says that Reese is around 12 weeks pregnant and will not make an official statement.

From the streets of Paris to the Amalfi coast. Reese Witherspoon and husband Jim Toth have arrived in the seaside town of Positano, Italy, on their honeymoon.

The newlyweds took in the sights of picturesque Positano on a boat ride to sea and on a shopping spree. Then they went to have a bite to eat at La Caravella, a popular eatery, where they "held hands and spoon-fed each other," according to a People Magazine observer. The observer also said, "Lovebirds - that's how I would describe them." The owner of the restaurant shared what Reese ate, "Mrs. Witherspoon ordered lemon leaf stuffed with fennel shredded fish, grilled and served with fennel; homemade cutlet pasta with ricotta cheese; buffalo ricotta cheese and pear with Aglianico wine and raw squids." To drink "the pair drank a very serious wine," the owner says, "the type that only connoisseurs would order."
