Man Crushes Cop Cars Using Farm Tractor

Man Crushes Cop Cars
A Vermont man, apparently disgruntled over his recent arrest, crushed seven police vehicles with a farm tractor.

Thirty-four-year-old farmer Roger Pion, who was arrested on July 3 for marijuana possession and resisting arrest, has been arrested once again on Thursday after he drove his tractor over five marked cruisers, one unmarked car and a transport van at the Orleans County Sheriff’s Department in Derby, Vt.

Sheriff's deputies were working inside their building and were unaware of the situation until neighbors called 911 and by that time it was too late. Half of the Orleans County police cruisers were flattened.

Nobody was hurt but witnesses were left stunned at what had happened. State police estimated the damage to be over $250,000.

Pion has been held at the Northern State Correctional Center in Newport on a $15,000 bail. He is set to appear in court on Friday and would face seven counts of felony unlawful mischief, one count of misdemeanor unlawful mischief, one count aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, one count of gross negligent operation, and one count of leaving the scene of an accident.
