Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler break off engagement

After 10 months of togetherness Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler have called off their engagement.

A 'source' tells People Magazine about the break up between the Laguna Beach and Hills star and the Chigaco Bears quarterback, "She got dumped. She's absolutely devastated. She can't believe this is happening." To add that, "She was planning her dream wedding, the date was set, the location – everything was set. She's in shock that the dream wedding she was planning is going to end this way."

The couple got engaged in April, when Jay proposed in Mexico, and had been planning a spring 2012 wedding. They spent most of their time in Chigaco, Kristin was to move to the Windy City during the upcoming football season. The couple had completed their wedding registry and Kristin had already planned her fitness schedule so that she was going to be in the best shape of her life on her wedding day. She recently strutted her stuff in a blue, glass bikini and showed to be in great shape already.

A week ago Kristin tweeted about her engagement party, "Thx to all my amazing friends for making my engagement party a blast last night!" Saturday night Kristin was spotted, sans engagement ring, in L.A. lounge The Beverly. Another source tells People Magazine, "She was hanging out at a table with Nicky Hilton and Alessandra Ambrosio. She was telling friends how they called off the engagement."

Kristin's rep had no comment.
