Jitterbug Perfume

Summer Vacation Date Two-Six.Oh-Seven.Two-Oh-One-One.

Today I wore my mother’s bathing suit because I realized that I did not bring my own.  It was her, and I quoth unto thee, “Hot tub bathing suit”. It’s a sizzler.  She keeps it on hanging on her bathroom doorknob so that it’s more handy.  Yes-  This is true.  I am now trying not to imagine my own bathing suit laying in the middle of my stairs back at home, the control hose portion of it peeking out at Neil’s Dad every time he comes to our house to check on the cat litter and plants. Neil’s Dad carefully stepping around it so as not to disturb it lest it jump forth and wrap itself around his head, strangling him and leaving him for dead amongst the many bags of cat food that now inhabit my kitchen.  Gone too soon.

No really, I’m fine.  I’m just a little stressed.  Today I put the finishing touches on the incredibly straight forward, yet made complicated summer child exchange agreement with my ex.  I think I finally convinced him that I indeed do not have a sinister plot to bamboozle him and hide the children from him.  My main argument being that I have never done that before. Sure,  I thought about swapping them out for some other kids I saw down at the river; you know... put some mud on them and be like, “yeah they need to have a bath when they get to your house” and then run away, laughing devilishly at my evil brilliance and uncover the real children from the pile of branches I put on them.  But I changed my mind at the last second.

Here is another panorama of my old ‘hood:

PS?  Camper internet service is slow.  I am writing this part here because I am still waiting for my photo to upload and it hasn't.  Alright photo..... hurry it up, I have books to read.  PPS, I got an ereader.  A kobo to be exact. Feel free to send me gift certificates for it.   I bought it because there is a fancier one out and it was cheap.  I KNOW.  I was never going to buy one, but there is no bookstore here in smalltownsville Northern Alberta and that makes me sad, so now I can get books.  Books and books.  (.....still not uploaded).  Right now I'm reading Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins.  Loving it.  I'm on the last few pages.   You should read it too....  Ok, photo's uploaded.  I will le shut le up.
