Leighton Meester For Penshoppe: "Gossip Girl" Star Slated To Arrive In The Philippines

Leighton Meester has officially been announced as the newest endorser of Penshoppe.

The clothing company made the official announcement Tuesday via its Twitter account.

"Team Penshoppe officially welcomes Leighton Meester to Penshoppe All Stars," Penshoppe tweeted.

The local clothing brand added that Meester is set to arrive in Manila for its "Impact" show.

Leighton Meester, 26, is best known for her role as Blair Waldorf in the hit US TV series "Gossip Girl." She has also starred in a number of movies - in 2010 country drama film"Country Strong," in the 2011 thriller "The Roommate," in the 2011 romantic-comedy "Monte Carlo," among others. She has also recorded some songs including a collaboration with Robn Thicke entitled "Somebody to Love," which was featured on "Gossip Girl."

Penshoppe recently inked a deal with four international male stars to be its endorsers.

Hollywood actors Zac Efron, Ian Somerhalder and Ed Westwick and Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer all became official members of the Penshoppe family recently.

But apparently, the local clothing brand is planning to have a new muse, too. PR Asia Worldwide's lead publicist Joyce Ramirez hinted on Twitter that Penshoppe's newest female endorser is Westwick's co-star in the U.S. hit TV series "Gossip Girl" and that she's a "Queen."

It could only be Leighton Meester, who plays the role of Blair Waldorf, the ruling "Queen Bee of New York's Upper East Side," in the show.

Ramirez said that official announcements will be made at the Philippine Fashion Week.
