Besting 13 other Showtime finalists, Astig Pinoy, a dance group from Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental who came up with combining modern and folk dances together, took home the title after the judges gave them the highest and almost perfect score of 9.933/10.
Astig Pinoy bagged the P1 million cash prize as well as another P1 million cold cash for their home barangay.
Although they failed to win, UDC of Pasig City grabbed P100,000 after selected as Madlang Pipol’s Choice.
Bailes De Luces of Negros Occidental, Buli Kidz Incredible of Batangas, D’ Shots of Caloocan, Kingz Gambit of Cebu, FMD Extreme of Marikina, Kalumon Performing Ensemble of Davao, Neutron Acrobats of Bulacan, Pinoy Hiphop of Antipolo, Prime Machine of Negros Oriental, Racing Chat of Sampaloc, Spy of Maynila, and Teatro Ambahanon of Quezon City also competed in the grand finals.
The panel of judges included celebrities Ara Mina, Vina Morales, Ina Raymundo, Kiray, Ryan Bang, Jhong Hilario, Dra. Vicky Belo, Dr. Manny Calayan, Joel Cruz, Luis Manzano, Joey Marquez, Chris Everingham and Liz Uy.
