It Really Pays To Be In Show Biz
I really don't mean to gloat & although it seems rather churlish... I can't help but share a recent residual check for my fine work in the film- Singles (click on the check to enlarge). I was on the Max train, coming home, last Saturday night.& I had a hint of the blues. I usually listen to the Ipod to block put the drone of cell phone chatter, but I got caught up listening to a cute Portland hipster couple working the NY Times crossword, unusual to witness a bit of intellegence on the train commute. One exit away from mine, the girl leaned across the aisle & said- "excuse me, I wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your work in Singles & Drugstore Cowboy." I was floored, flummoxed really. I thanked her & explained that I appreciated being recognized & complimented. I told her that I was amazed that she would know who I was. Thanks, Emma. You made my evening. Before the pair disembarked, I was able to answer the clue that they were stymied by: Adele, for the clue- Fred Astaire's sibling. Now, how to spend that hard earned 78 cents?
