The Ottawa traffic control center... or secret operations room for traffic control.. or Underground lair of automobile organization operations division or Nerd Center.... Apparently this is one of two centers like it in North America. Ottawa and Los Angeles. Ottawa... and Los Angeles. Not New York or Toronto or Montreal or Vancouver... but Ottawa. Little Ottawa. Crazy. All the shows they watch are pretty boring, though. They zoomed in on a manhole for us and everyone laughed heartily. The very idea is just hilarious. Just imagine... zooming in on a manhole with a traffic cam... *single tear of laughter* All I know is that the comedy goes over preeetty easily around here.It was actually pretty cool. They let my kids have a bottle of water, then let them stand and hold the open water bottle over top of their very expensive technical equipment while I was 3 rows of people back which was very nice of them. It might have been slightly unnerving to know that at any given time, two bored guys are controlling all of the traffic throughout the entire city.
