I love the little purple paisley man. He is a major force in my musical listening life, & he really defined the 1980s for me. The Husband & I attended viewings of the film- Purple Rain several times. Little Red Corvette is on my list of top 10 songs of all time. Prince has written more than 1000 songs, some of which have been released by Prince under pseudonyms or recordeds & released by other artists. Prince also has hundreds of unreleased songs in his "vault". He has won 7 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, & an Academy Award. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004, the 1st year he was eligible.That same year Rolling Stone ranked Prince #28 on its list of the 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. I understand that he is really nutty, but I am zany for his music. Let's Go Crazy & party like it's 1999! Prince turns 52 years old today.
