I just read on Playbill's website that two of my favorite actors, two men that make me dizzy at the thought of them, two men with shirtless pics on my refrigerator, two men that I have had seriously lustful stirrings for are going to be in a Broadway play together & that they are going to be playing cops! Hugh Jackman & Daniel Craig will be appearing in A Steady Rain by Keith Huff. Playbill states- "A Steady Rain tells of two seasoned cops whose lifelong friendship is severely tested when a seemingly routine domestic disturbance call results in the death of a young boy. When the horrific truth of the situation is revealed, one of the two must take the blame for the fatal mistake. A Steady Rain played a six-week sold-out engagement at Chicago Dramatists in fall 2007. The cast & artistic team, headed by director Russ Tutterow, remained intact for the 2008 run at Chicago's Royal George Theater." The play is to open in Fall of this year.
Two images that are seared into my memory forever: Hugh Jackman dousing his bare chest with a bucket of water in Baz Luhrmann's underrated Australia & of course, Daniel Craig's rising out of the water in that perfectly cut pair of swim trunks in Casino Royale. Did I mention that they will be playing cops? Hugh Jackman + Daniel Craig + Cops= Stephen quivering.
