Grandpa, Tell Me About the Good Ol' Days

This morning as I was walking out of Mass, I was behind a little boy holding hands with his grey-haired Grandpa.

The little boy looked up at his Grandpa and said: "When you were a parent, what kind of hair did you have?"

The Grandpa replied: "I had brown hair."

He turned to me and saw that I was smiling at the little exchange and said to me "I'm not just a parent anymore, I'm a Grandpa."

It was all very sweet~to know that although we will always be a parent, one day we will be holding the hand of our little grandchild and we will be blessed again by God and become a Grandparent.
