The fruit of our demise

I made a new batch of my favourite fall time treat, insidiously brandied peaches. I will do this every fall for the rest of my life because we very sadly ran out of them this spring. :( You can't even imagine how excited were when one lone jar was found hidden away, months after we'd ravaged the other jars over winter TV. It's like shots of brandy disguised as dessert. Fun! I like to eat them directly from the jar and not waste any time with silly ice cream or cake.

They are both yummy and very, very drenched in booze. The only way you could preserve something more alcoholic would be if you pickled Richard Burton's head in a jar.

What.
