Junior & Lulu at couples counseling
Early this morning, while having tea in the Boys' Fort, The Husband committed himself to cutting Junior's nails, something that in the past has been done by professionals. He unintentionally cut into the quick & the poor little canine was bleeding. I took him for a long walk thinking he would stop with the bleeding by our return & the cool, clean, condensation of the grass in the park would feel good on his toes.
When we returned home, Junior seemed to be doing well. I drove The Husband to a job in NW Portland & when I returned I opened the door to what looked like a crime scene. Nearly ever surface was stained with blood, including the white shag rug in the front room, the newer sofa, the antique Belgian, circa 1820s, sofa, the wooden floors, the rug in the back room... blood splatters everywhere.
I was able to clean & recover everything with a terrific product- Nature's Little Miracle stain remover, but it took me hours of blotting to get the place recovered. I haven't spent that much time on my knees since the summer of 2007, another story for another day.
